How to Attach That Burris Remote
Every crossbow is different so it requires a different solution. I currently have four different Burris Oracle X scopes mounted on four different crossbows. Each of them required a different solution. (Well, the SWAT X1’s are the same, LOL.) Here goes!
Bunjie has that solid rail. Now, you you could use the velcro that comes with a scope. I don't really trust it because it doesn't seem like there's a lot of adhesive there and also because velcro can let that remote fall off and get lost if you're not careful. Just seems a little risky to me. Plus, some people have complained that the velcro sticks out a little bit, and I think it will make the remote Rock under your finger. That’s no good!
So I used 3M Automotive Tape. I am sure if I ever have to take it off of there to change the tiny battery in the remote control, I am going to need some adhesive remover lol.
The other crossbows all use some manner of zip ties. Now I will caution you, it takes a few tries to get those zip ties positioned exactly the way you want them. And zip ties, as you know, are single use. At least for me they are. Therefore, I invested in a whole bunch of black zip ties. That way you can find the exact position for both the remote and the zip ties by trial and error. Remember, this thing is going to be on there for a long, long time. You want everything about it to be perfect. You want the button to be right where your finger or thumb is. You don't want to have to look for it. Also, you want the zip ties to be positioned in a way that they don't interfere with the comfort while you are holding the crossbow. And we don’t want it to wiggle at all! All important stuff! Play around with it, cut those ties and start over if you have to. Good luck!
