Spin Your Arrows!
I think arrow spinning is underrated! I now spin arrows before I shoot in the backyard and definitely before sending a broadhead downrange. There’s no sense sighting in with a crooked arrow—you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment. And speaking of disappointment—if a crooked arrow results in a bad shot on an animal, that’s no good!
Enter The Arrow Inspector! This is the arrow spinner I have that you’ve seen in some videos. I have two of them: one in the Trophy Room for displaying an arrow and any last minute spinning before I head out onto the Crossbow Balcony, and one on my workbench in the basement, where I do the majority of my spinning!
Basically you just spin the arrow in it and look to see if it’s all wonky. I’ve had one insert over the years that was set incorrectly, but usually it’s the broadhead that’s bent from previous use. I don’t try to restore those Swhackers that are crooked.
This way you can be sure your crossbow arrows are…straight as an arrow!
