I've Always Wanted a Bulldog!

I like English Bulldogs. I’ve joked about getting one.

But that has nothing to do with this post, haha. Here, we talk about crossbows, and when it comes to crossbows the Bulldog has a whole different meaning. The Bulldog Targets have the reputation of stopping even the fastest crossbow arrows! This one is no exception!

This beautiful target was a gift from a Friend of Bunjie who knows there might be a new addition to the Bunjie family coming soon. Knowing that it might be a 350 to 450 fps crossbow, this is really, really appreciated!

The Bulldog Doghouse Target is a lot like its namesake: it’s big, heavy, strong, and stubborn—and by stubborn, I mean it’ll refuse to let your crossbow arrows get past it. It’s got lots of size so you can move your shots around and it’ll last a long time. And perhaps best of all, you can actually pull the arrows out. Get a good puller to help you but you shouldn’t have too much trouble pulling your arrows. I’d have to say the Block is a little easier to pull arrows from, but this will stop arrows from any new “Bunjie” that comes down the pike! The size is great, too—it gives me a lot of confidence even at long ranges!

Here it is, still in its shipping wrap, ready for a test drive! (Wheelbarrow not included, haha.)

We’ll use this as our 20 yard target, mostly due to its overall weight. A wheelbarrow or hand cart or even a deer haulin’ cart will help move it around the yard.

Genevieve and her first shot of 2021, at twenty yards. The Bulldog stopped Bunjie, Jr.’s arrow just fine.
